Why Use Underground Dog Fence?

Cost Effectiveness

Underground fencing can be a great way to have a containment system for your dog that doesn't cost nearly as much as erecting a chain link fence or privacy fence. Underground wire fencing isn't unsightly, and dogs can easily be trained to stay within the boundaries of the fence with a few short teaching sessions. If you have the fencing installed by a company, they will often do a training session with you and your pet to help get you started toward using the collar properly and ensuring that they know how to determine when they are getting close to their boundary, before crossing it and receiving a warning buzz from the collar.

HOA Can't See It

Depending on where you live, some HOA and POA rules don't allow for fencing at all. Others can be very restrictive of the type of fencing that they will allow - such as vinyl only. While this lasts a long time and will never look bad, it is also outside the budget of many people. Underground wire fencing can be a much better option for your pets and won't cause a neighborhood problem or get you a fine. Your neighbors won't have a thing to complain about and the only sign of the fence, for a short while, are the orange boundary flags that you use to teach your dog. Once your dog knows where the property boundary is, you take the flags down and no one knows.

It Is Installed Easily

You can easily install underground dog fence yourself if you choose to. Kits come with the length of wire you need, the collar, and all accessories. If you have a way to cut a trench easily yourself, then you can bury the wire and be completely done with it on your own.
